How Access Bars changed my life

My first experience of the Bars was in my first Bars class - I felt a great sense of peace and deep relaxation I hadn't experienced before. It also released trauma from my body and mind in relation to an accident I had 15 years ago - it came flooding up in waves of gentle tears and was washed away with the Bars. This experience was life changing - I felt invigorated, energised and so excited that I had just learnt a technique that I could share with others in my life and also with my clients. 2 years after that class I am now a qualified Bars Facilitator so I can now teach the Bars Class. I have been having my Bars run every week for most of 2017 (about 8 months) which allows me to be fully present in my life and have an ease, joy and flow in my life that I have never had before. Sometimes the changes I experienced with the Bars were small and subtle but now I look back to what my life looked like 2 years ago - the change over this time is huge, dynamic and phenomenal - what would you like to change in your life that until now you thought was unchangeble? Get your bars run - even just once to open yourself up to new possibilities. I am so grateful for Chrissie Shirley teaching me the Bars - that first session I received from Chrissie during that class changed my life - what else is possible?

New possibilities – how do we create or attract them into our lives?

So many of us are longing for change – a better job, more money, greater relationships etc but we keep on doing the same things and wonder why nothing changes for us. As we all know that is the TRUE definition of insanity but we still don’t know how to change this!! W hy is that?   We can’t create something new from the same energetic space that we have created our current reality. If our point of view creates our reality (as taught by Gary Douglas and Dain Heer – Access Consciousness.com) then we have to change our thinking and our point of view FIRST before we can choose a different reality or to create something NEW in our lives.  Woah! So how do you do that? Simple, start working with any tools and techniques that help change your mindset, your constant thought pattern and your points of view. I said simple right? But so many of us still don’t know how to do that – Ok so let me explain in a little more detail – now you are interested!? I give you some example...

Treating PTSD in first responders with EFT

First responders are always first on the scene in case of emergencies which includes police, firefighters, ambulance officers, paramedics, nurses and doctors and also the general public. These can be traumatic experiences for all involved including the victim and the victim’s family too. How can we help first responders deal with the daily exposure to trauma to limit possibility of it becoming PTSD? EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a form of acupressure that is self-applied and can be used for treating everything from stress and anxiety to phobias and PTSD. It is a technique that is based on the principles of Traditional Chinese medicine in that it uses the same meridians and acupressure points. It is easy to learn and simple to apply and works very rapidly. I was thinking about this topic very recently after there was very dangerous situation that local police officers found themselves in – where they had stopped a vehicle as part of a routine check and were then fired upon by...

Reducing trauma for young children and infants

When they are born children begin to absorb and take on what is around them (the physical environment), the experiences they have (what they receive from their parents regarding food, shelter, warmth, clothing (basic needs being met) any interactions they have with other people (midwife, plunket nurse, GP, extended family, friends etc). These babies (infants) from the age of birth -6 years of age do not question their environment, interactions or if their basic needs are met or not all they do psychologically is to receive their experiences, no judgement, no rationalisation and sometimes no understanding. As they receive these experiences in their life they become stored in their building/developing psyche (subconscious mind-body system)– much like a hard drive of a computer, just downloading willy-nilly every minute of every day and storing that information away for future use. What this means in practice is there is a potential for developing babies, infants, toddlers and young ...
