 * Creating Space * 2022 *

In the practice of Nia we ‘Create the Space’ in our trainings, meetings and sometimes before class. It is a mindfulness practice that allows us to eliminate distractions. I am now choosing to enter a time where I will create the space for an extended period of time for myself personally & for my family - within the year of 2022. Creating space will also allow me to remove unnecessary distractions and allow for clarity so that I can actualize my life and living anew. By giving myself and my family time to rest, reflect and renew I will be in a better space to offer classes, workshops and individual sessions when the time is right in the future. Thank you for your understanding and patience through this space. I may still share some words and images of inspiration and healing on my business FB pages from time to time if the feeling takes me.
In practical terms individual sessions finished on Thursday 2nd December 2021. My last online Nia class was on Wednesday 15th Dec 2021. If you are on my mailing list, I have already emailed you a list of other practitioners and teachers that you can contact for classes or sessions, whom I highly recommend and other online resources. You are welcome to send me a message if you would like a copy of this emailed to you. Rest assured I will be back in touch when I am ready to step back in to teaching, facilitating, and offering healings once again.
I now create the space for myself, my family, my teachings, this space, my practices, and source itself
What energy, space and consciousness can I be to actualize a magical and joyful life and living with total ease?

EFT Tapping and Access Consciousness Tools – a powerful combination.

Often, we are taught tools or techniques that may help us but how often do we actually use them? We forget them after a time, then we think – how do I do that again? However, if we take tools in their simplest form and combine them with other simple energetic techniques we create a heightened synergy and then we create something greater as if by magic. EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a simple process of tapping on various end points of meridians on our face, torso and hands and is combined with affirmations and repeated verbal phrases.  Access Consciousness uses loads of tools – but one of the simplest is asking questions. When we ask a question without the aim of answering it, it opens us up to other possibilities in our life. If we tap on the EFT points and repeat a question while we tap on each point it can lead to an awareness of a possibility with that area we are asking about.  For example; a great question to ask is ‘How does it get any better than this?’...

Reducing trauma for young children and infants

When they are born children begin to absorb and take on what is around them (the physical environment), the experiences they have (what they receive from their parents regarding food, shelter, warmth, clothing (basic needs being met) any interactions they have with other people (midwife, plunket nurse, GP, extended family, friends etc). These babies (infants) from the age of birth -6 years of age do not question their environment, interactions or if their basic needs are met or not all they do psychologically is to receive their experiences, no judgement, no rationalisation and sometimes no understanding. As they receive these experiences in their life they become stored in their building/developing psyche (subconscious mind-body system)– much like a hard drive of a computer, just downloading willy-nilly every minute of every day and storing that information away for future use. What this means in practice is there is a potential for developing babies, infants, toddlers and young ...

Treating PTSD in first responders with EFT

First responders are always first on the scene in case of emergencies which includes police, firefighters, ambulance officers, paramedics, nurses and doctors and also the general public. These can be traumatic experiences for all involved including the victim and the victim’s family too. How can we help first responders deal with the daily exposure to trauma to limit possibility of it becoming PTSD? EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a form of acupressure that is self-applied and can be used for treating everything from stress and anxiety to phobias and PTSD. It is a technique that is based on the principles of Traditional Chinese medicine in that it uses the same meridians and acupressure points. It is easy to learn and simple to apply and works very rapidly. I was thinking about this topic very recently after there was very dangerous situation that local police officers found themselves in – where they had stopped a vehicle as part of a routine check and were then fired upon by...
