Hope in the face of suicide

Suicide is a modern epidemic which is much talked about but often fills us with despair at the thought that nothing much can be done to prevent it.
The modern lifestyle fools us into thinking that to be happy we must be successful and have things to make us happy. We think when I get the perfect job, or house or relationship then I’ll be happy. but unfortunately, the world doesn’t work that way. You need to be happy with yourself first and foremost but how do we do it? I would like to share Dain’s story as an example of someone seriously contemplating suicide and how he was able to turn it around.
Dain says “I had gotten to a point where I had everything that was supposed to make a person happy – and it had absolutely no value to me. I had tried every single modality for inner peace I could find, but I was still dying inside. I was so deeply unhappy I was considering suicide. I even set a date. I gave the Universe six months to change my life”.
“What no one knew was how miserable and unhappy I was most of the time. If you were to tell this story to the people that knew me, many of them would tell you that you were crazy. I was very good at hiding what was really going on from the people that knew me and looked up to me. And quite frankly, I didn’t know for sure that there was anything different as a possibility to living my life. I was doing the best I could with the tools I had available.” Says Dain.
Within a week of making his demand for change in his life Dain found out about an energy healing process called Access Bars®. Initially he was very sceptical but as he had already tried almost everything to change his life for the better he decided to have a session – what did he have to lose?
“I had an Access Bars® session and it is a simple process of touching points on the person’s head. It was the first sense of peace I’d had in almost three years. It was the first time remembering everything was ok, everything always had been, and everything always would be… and I never contemplated suicide again.” said Dain.
As part of Suicide Awareness Week (Sept 10th-16th 2017) two local Access Bars® practitioners are offering free sessions to those at risk in our community. This week culminates in the Waikato Wellness Fair on Sunday 17th Sept at Gordonton Hall where you can experience a Bars session for $20. If you are aware of someone at risk of suicide in your community please contact Catherine Weston 022 3064865 or Chrissie Shirley 022 1877313 to book a free Access Bars® Session.

New possibilities – how do we create or attract them into our lives?

So many of us are longing for change – a better job, more money, greater relationships etc but we keep on doing the same things and wonder why nothing changes for us. As we all know that is the TRUE definition of insanity but we still don’t know how to change this!! W hy is that?   We can’t create something new from the same energetic space that we have created our current reality. If our point of view creates our reality (as taught by Gary Douglas and Dain Heer – Access Consciousness.com) then we have to change our thinking and our point of view FIRST before we can choose a different reality or to create something NEW in our lives.  Woah! So how do you do that? Simple, start working with any tools and techniques that help change your mindset, your constant thought pattern and your points of view. I said simple right? But so many of us still don’t know how to do that – Ok so let me explain in a little more detail – now you are interested!? I give you some examples from my

Treating PTSD in first responders with EFT

First responders are always first on the scene in case of emergencies which includes police, firefighters, ambulance officers, paramedics, nurses and doctors and also the general public. These can be traumatic experiences for all involved including the victim and the victim’s family too. How can we help first responders deal with the daily exposure to trauma to limit possibility of it becoming PTSD? EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a form of acupressure that is self-applied and can be used for treating everything from stress and anxiety to phobias and PTSD. It is a technique that is based on the principles of Traditional Chinese medicine in that it uses the same meridians and acupressure points. It is easy to learn and simple to apply and works very rapidly. I was thinking about this topic very recently after there was very dangerous situation that local police officers found themselves in – where they had stopped a vehicle as part of a routine check and were then fired upon by

EFT Tapping and Access Consciousness Tools – a powerful combination.

Often, we are taught tools or techniques that may help us but how often do we actually use them? We forget them after a time, then we think – how do I do that again? However, if we take tools in their simplest form and combine them with other simple energetic techniques we create a heightened synergy and then we create something greater as if by magic. EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a simple process of tapping on various end points of meridians on our face, torso and hands and is combined with affirmations and repeated verbal phrases.  Access Consciousness uses loads of tools – but one of the simplest is asking questions. When we ask a question without the aim of answering it, it opens us up to other possibilities in our life. If we tap on the EFT points and repeat a question while we tap on each point it can lead to an awareness of a possibility with that area we are asking about.  For example; a great question to ask is ‘How does it get any better than this?’ – we can
